In the World, there is high demand for laser surgery operations. Instead of traditional methods for correction of refractive errors such as glasses and contact lenses, these alternatives may be chosen and these laser surgeries are successfully performed in Turkey.

Femto LASIK:

Treatment of myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism via femtosecond laser and excimer laser. Via femtosecond laser a small cap is prepared on upper surface of cornea. Via excimer laser cornea is reshaped so that the light can be reflected in the right way. Procedure is performed without any manual incisions. Healing process of incision is faster.

i-LASIK:

In order to correct imperfections in the cornea, an excimer laser is used to reshape the cornea. When standard LASIK treatment is used for advanced astigmatism and corneal aberrations, a loss of vision quality may occur after procedure. However, via wavefront technology, via i-LASIK treatment method, these problems can be treated.

LASIK/PRK/LASEK:

Used for treatment of vision disorders such as myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism, in laser treatments, no tissue removal is made in the eye and cornea is reshaped by ablation which is a method of vaporization.

LASIK: In LASIK method, a small opening is made on the upper surface of cornea and vision is adjusted via excimer laser.

PRK: In cases where the patient suffers from vision disorders however does not have a cornea thickness enough to receive a LASIK treatment, PRK may be used. Upper surface of cornea is folded and excimer laser is applied to the inner surface. A protective contact lens is located on the cornea.

LASEK: Similar to PRK treatment, in this technique, upper surface of cornea is elevated with thinned alcohol and laser is applied.

EPI-LASIK: Alternative to PRK and LASEK, a special device called epikeratome is used to elevate the upper surface of cornea.

ReLEX Smile:

It is possible to treat myopia and astigmatism via this method that is blade-free. In this technique there is no need of making corneal flap. Only one femtosecond laser is used and is very practical and easy.

Cataract & Multifocal/Trifocal Lenses:

Cataract is treated via surgery. Via latest techniques, cataract operations can be performed needle free and general anaesthesia free. A most preferred surgery method is emulsification of eye’s internal lens via an ultrasonic device and the lens is aspirated out from the eye. An artificial, soft tissued lens is placed in the eye. Incision is very small. Recently, femtosecond laser is also used as a supportive technique. This method is called laser cataract surgery.

It is very important to choose the right artificial lens to be used. There are 3 types of artificial lenses: Monofocal, Multifocal, Trifocal.

For patients with myopia and hypermetropia, multifocal/trifocal lenses allow to see both close and far distances clearly. Furthermore, if the patient has cataract at the same time, it is possible to fix both vision disorders and cataract problems in the same procedure.

REFRACTIVE SURGERY

It is an examination that includes detailed examinations and is applied for the treatment of refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

First of all, laser eye treatment is not new, contrary to popular belief, it has been successfully applied since 1980.

13 kinds of methods and cutting-edge technology are applied for laser eye surgery, also known as eye drawing.

Laser eye examination is very comprehensive and detailed. Laser eye examination takes about 1 and a half hours.

Thanks to personalized methods, it is aimed for our patient to see the best quality in the long term after laser eye surgery.

For Which Eye Structure Can Laser Eye Surgery Be Applied?

As a result of the preliminary examination and examinations, people who meet the following criteria can be treated with laser.

  • People over the age of 18,
  • People with suitable cornea thickness,
  • People with miyobu up to -10 diopters,
  • People with astigmatism up to 6 diopters,
  • Persons with hyperopia up to +4 diopters,
  • Those who do not have systematic diseases such as diabetes and rheumatism
  • Those who do not have any other diseases in their eyes (corneal sharpening, eye pressure, etc.)
